What counts as one credit
One credit is consumed when Genloop performs a data investigation or query on your behalf. This includes:- A question asked in the conversational analytics interface
- A query triggered via Automations
- An API call that returns a data analysis
- A Slack message that triggers a query
- Viewing or refreshing a liveboard
- Browsing your data source schema
- Editing workspace settings
- Members being idle or logged in without querying
Credits per plan
All credits are pooled across every member in your workspace. If your workspace has 10 members on the Pro plan, those 10 members share 100 credits per month — any member can use them.
Enterprise plans include a custom credit allocation negotiated as part of your contract. Contact your Solutions Architect to discuss your expected usage volume.
Credits refresh monthly
Credits reset at the beginning of each calendar billing month. Unused credits do not roll over — your balance resets to your plan’s full amount on your monthly renewal date. What happens when you run out of credits
When your workspace exhausts its monthly credit allocation, Genloop pauses query processing. Members will see a message indicating that the workspace has reached its credit limit. No further queries run until either:- The monthly reset occurs and credits refresh, or
- You upgrade to a higher plan with a larger credit allowance
Check your credit usage
1
Open Settings
Click your workspace name in the top-left corner and select Settings.
2
Go to Billing
Click Billing in the left sidebar.
3
View Usage
Click the Usage tab to see your current month’s credit consumption broken down by member and by day.
Upgrading mid-month
When you upgrade your plan mid-month, Genloop immediately applies the new credit limit from your new plan. Your existing credit balance is replaced by the new plan’s full monthly allocation — you don’t receive a prorated top-up. For example: if you’re on Free with 5 credits remaining and you upgrade to Pro mid-month, your balance becomes 100 credits immediately.Idle connectors and workspaces
Idle connections and inactive workspaces do not consume credits. Credits are only spent when a query is actively processed. You can connect as many data sources as your plan allows, invite all your members, and build as many liveboards as you want — none of that affects your credit balance.Next steps
