# Data Apps

> Turn a Liveboard or a Chat question into a Data App: a report or presentation built on live, governed data, with interactive charts and numbers that always match your warehouse.

A Data App turns the analysis already on a Liveboard, or a question you ask in Chat, into a report or a deck. No one has to spend an evening packaging screenshots into slides.

## Creating a Data App

Build one from a Liveboard, or ask for one directly in **Chat**: describe what you want ("Build me a QBR deck for this quarter") and Genloop compiles it from your live data.

A generated Data App includes an executive summary, key metric and chart insights, the charts from your tiles, and AI-generated highlights on anomalies and what needs attention first. It renders as a full **Report** or **Presentation**, can be downloaded as PDF, and is listed under the board's **Reports** view.

## Built on live, governed data

The charts inside are interactive, not static screenshots. Whoever you share it with can explore the numbers, not just read them. And because a Data App runs on the same governed layer as the rest of Genloop, the numbers in it match the numbers in your warehouse. No copy-paste drift between the dashboard and the boardroom.

## Scheduling a Data App

Any Data App you schedule for a recurring cadence shows up in [Automations](/using-genloop/automations), where you can track its next run, edit it, or remove it. Your weekly business review, your QBR, your customer success deck: compiled and delivered without you opening a slide editor.
